Q: In what formats do you publish?
A: We publish both electronically and in print. Electronically, we have enough formats that
we should be able to reach all readers.
Q: Do you publish print and electronic versions at the same time?
A: Typically, electronic versions will be out before print versions.
Q: How will I receive my order?
A: Either via direct email or a link and password enabling download. Anything requiring shipping
will be received via USPS or UPS.
Q: Are you a subsidy publisher?
A: No. RuneStone Publishing, LLC is a royalty paying house.
Q: Does RuneStone Publishing, LLC charge fees to authors?
A: Absolutely not! Our authors pay NO fees. This includes editing, cover art and ISBN numbers.
Q: Do I have to provide an ISBN number?
A: No. RuneStone Publishing, LLC will assign ISBN numbers once the contracting process is
complete and the book is scheduled for release.
Q: Do you provide copyright?
A: We can direct you to the forms, but we do not file for copyright
because the author retains ownership of the book. It is your responsibility to apply for copyright.
We will provide you with the "proof" you'll need for filing and assist you as we are able.
Q: Will I be expected to promote and advertise my book?
A: Yes! Although we have a great marketing plan, no one knows your book better than you do.
Every successful author is a business person and marketing is a major step in achieving success.
Q: How long after I've submitted my work do I have to wait before someone contacts me?
A: This is always a tough question to answer. It depends on the number of submissions we receive at a given time. The requesting editor should give a timeline in their request.
Q: Do you accept multiple submissions?
A: Yes, we do. However, if you accept a contract from another house, before you hear from us,
we would appreciate being notified.
Q: Do you accept submissions from unpublished writers?
A: Yes. Many of the manuscripts we receive are from unpublished, serious writers. We encourage new, fresh voices to submit.
Q: Do you accept short stories?
A: We do if we're planning an anthology. Please watch the submission guidelines for information.
Q: How long does it take to be published once the contract is signed?
A: Currently anywhere from 6 months to over a year. It varies with the rest of the production schedule.
